Heliox with the Servo-I Ventilator

Equipment Needed

• Heliox compatible vent
• Heliox regulator
• 80/20 heliox tank
• Wrench
• Heliox vent hose and adaptor

Initial Setup

1. Attach regulator and heliox vent hose together if not already done
2. Connect the regulator to the heliox tank using the wrench to tighten it on
3. Put the other end of the heliox vent hose and the heliox vent adaptor together if not already connected
4. Pull the air hose straight down from the gas inlet port on the side of the servo.
5. Replace with the heliox hose
6. Open the heliox tank by unscrewing the valve at the top of the tank

To manually change gas type after getting the initial set up

1. Press the menu button on the right side of the screen
2. When the menu pops up, press the compensate button
3. Next hit the gas type, and you will get a pop up asking if you are sure you want to compensate for HeO2, press yes
4. Will send a message saying the system is compensated for HeO2, press OK
• When hooked up and functioning correctly, you should see a “He O2” in the upper left side of the screen
